MARIA GNOZA is a writer, comedian & performer
based in Los Angeles.
Hailing from Kansas City, Maria moved across the country to see if the ocean was real. Currently, she is an Assistant on the features team at 87North Productions. She will be debuting her third solo show, THE IDITAROD, this summer as part of the Hollywood Fringe Festival. In 2023, Maria sold out the Santa Monica Playhouse Mainstage with her one-woman show, IN THE AISLE. She completed her first solo show, KILLING ROAST BEEF, in 2020. Other writing credits include her plays, STOOD UP and GOOSE (both produced by Drake University). Previously, she was a Showrunner's Assistant on the upcoming Netflix series, RANSOM CANYON, as well as a TV Literary Assistant at VERVE Talent & Literary Agency. Maria writes for the stage & screen, for book nerds, and everyone in between.
Maria has eight years of improv experience and performs at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre and Clubhouse Theatre. Her improv troupes, STOP THAT MAN and CUTER IN PERSON perform frequently across Los Angeles. Maria's acting credits include MACBETH (Macbeth), STOOD UP (Hailey), 4.48 PSYCHOSIS (Woman), TARTUFFE (Dorine), AS YOU LIKE IT (Touchstone), and SPRING AWAKENING (Ensemble).
Above all else, Maria values laughter, a strong ensemble, her perfect niece & nephew, and a lengthy blooper reel.
